Three go skiing....
The ski area of the Portes du Soleil provides great skiing & boarding for all levels.
Our minibus trip to our favourite ski lift takes about 7 -10 minutes depending on the snow on the roads. From Ardent we take the telecabine up to Les Lindarets - which is a natural bowl from where all the chair lifts radiate out.
For access to Avoriaz there are 2 chairs up, to Linga & Chatel take the new fast Chaux Fleurie or to ski Switzerland take the long Mossettes chair and ski down to Crosets - or if you are a beginner stay at Lindarets and take lessons with ESF or AASS on the nursery slopes there.
We have also the lifts at Super Morzine 5 mins - Morzine 7 mins Les Gets 15 mins & Nyon 10 mins in the minibus.
On our day off we often choose to start our day at The Nyon lift - this too has just had a new chair built and means that no more will I have to use the take off pad that was the drag lift here! One of the best things about Nyon is the restaurant on the plateau - a great menu & views to match from the top of the red run.
A few years ago we decided to sell up our B&B near Oxford in the Uk, move to France & set up a ski chalet in the French Alps.....that's Lesley (ex PE teacher & ski boot fitter of over 20 years experience), Julie (I've had more careers than I can recall but I am the general fixer & cook) & Lucy the dog... ( she is a lovely dog just don't try to make friends with her - you either will or you won't - don't take it personally)
